Paleo Pesto Bread

Prep Time: 10 minutes // Cook Time: 50 minutes // Total Time: 1 hour

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups almond flour

  • 1/4 cup psyllium husk powder

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

  • 5 large eggs (beaten)

  • 1/4 cup coconut oil

  • 1/2 cup warm water

  • 1 1.5 oz of Bowery Basil, finely chopped

  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast

  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes

  • Prepared dairy-free pesto, for topping

RECIPE PREPARATION

Preheat the oven to 350F. In a large bowl, stir together the almond flour, psyllium husk powder, baking powder, and sea salt. Stir in the eggs and melted coconut oil, then the warm water. Fold in nutritional yeast, Bowery Basil leaves, and seasonings. Mix until just combined. Transfer the batter to a well-greased loaf pan. Spread evenly throughout and then top with prepared pesto. Bake for 50 minutes. Cool completely before serving.
